Our fees can be Fixed, Project Rate, Day Rate or Hourly Rate

We aim to establish a close relationship with each client, based on mutual trust and respect, so we will always discuss the basis of our charges with you and let you know if circumstances change. With over 70% of our work being repeat business we believe that our fees will always be reasonable and offer outstanding value for money. You can be assured that since we do not employ unqualified or inexperienced personnel our fees will always remain competitive and reflect our professional standing. In most cases it will be possible to agree a fixed fee for certain pre-defined work. In others, a combination of a fixed fee and an hourly rate of charge may be appropriate. This can be agreed at the outset, or when a switch to this method seems appropriate. Once we offer our firm quotation you can be assured that the sum shown is what you will pay. You will not be surprised by any hidden charges.

Our hourly rates are available upon request at any time. Our fees, including hourly rates are quoted exclusive of VAT.
Where no fixed fee has been agreed, we will, where possible, try to indicate how much the overall cost of our work might be, but it can only be a rough estimate and it will need periodic revision since factors beyond our control often influence matters to a material degree. For instance, if an expert witness is called or we have to attend court proceedings or other adversarial proceedings the cost will depend very much on the response of your opponent.

There is no doubt that fines are increasing for even minor breaches of the Health and Safety at Work etc Act 1974 and supporting Regulations. In more severe cases when death has occurred as a result of work activities individuals have been sent to prison. It is true that some businesses never recover from crippling fines and adverse publicity.

Note: Under The Health and Safety (Fees) Regulations 2012, those who break health and safety laws are liable for recovery of HSE’s related costs, including inspection, investigation and taking enforcement action. Currently the fee for intervention by the HSE is £129.00 per hour.
